Pre-season friendly match against Camden Tigers

The Under 13s game was the perfect curtain raiser for the day. Dully started very well, but a long range, missile like shot from Camden, glanced the post and went in for a stunning opening goal after just a few minutes. Nothing like an early goal to fire up a game - and the Dully boys responded well, almost immediately firing back an equally impressive shot, only to be denied by the woodwork. Dully eventually scored an equaliser after mounting several raids on the Camden goal. The game then appeared to tip in Dully's favour and it seemed only a matter of time before they would hit the front. Camden however caught us napping, and scored a classic counter attacking goal. But the Dully boys were not done yet, and in the last minutes of the game, got that magic ball in behind the Camden defenders which was put away perfectly into the back of the net. Overall, Dully had more possession and more shots on goal, so a very positive game. The coach was pleased, however he felt the boys held the ball at times when a quick release would have been a better option.
