Pre-season friendly match against Camden Tigers

The Under 18s finished the day with a very good match. Scoring early, they dominated the game, playing out from the back with great movement on and off the ball. Camden came back and scored an equaliser, after which Dully continued to press and created numerous chances, scoring again to go 2-1 up. Against the run of play, Camden scored again just before the half time interval. In the second half, Dully piled on the pressure with a slightly different formation, and scored 2 great goals. The opposition could not compete with the free flowing passing of Dully, and their frustration started to show by way of verbal taunting of some Dully players. A couple of our boys over-reacted to this and were sent off, which marred an otherwise exciting game. Whilst the coach was very happy with the way the boys played, he wants to remind all players in the club to focus on the football, and ignore any comments made by opposition players, coaches or supporters. It is an all too familiar tactic used to unsettle visiting teams when their own side is letting them down.
