U16 Match Report 19/2/2012

Pre Season Match report

Camden Tigers U16 Vs Dully FC U16s

Ron Dine Memorial Reserve, Camden South

A scorching afternoon sun greeted both teams at the 1:15pm kickoff time in what was to become a showcase of entertaining football to come from the Dully U16s in the 2012 season. With eager enthusiasm the boys took to their first overdue preseason match to put into practice what the coaching staff have been instilling into this fine group of creative footballers.

Solid efforts were had from all the boys with goals coming first to the man of the match  Nick Musgrave who's intuitive run into the box after excellent build up play from the right hand side enabled him to clinically finish off Dully's first goal and two from Nathan Spinola, who it must be said along with his partners in crime up front,Matt Casamento and Michael Konomanyi often tore apart the Camden defensive line to slot home his first goal a sweet strike from the left side of play into the far right hand netting of the Camden goal beating the Camden Custodian.

Michael Konomanyi nearly bagged his first goal of the season with a Carlos Hernandez special rattling the cross bar which followed with the ball being hunted of the rebound and  clinically finished off once again by Nathan Spinola.

Great movement on and off the ball and fast flowing creative play highlighted the progress the team has made through the U16s disciplined attitudes to training and it showed with Dully commanding  possession, tempo and control throughout the game.

Camden to their credit capitalised on their limited scoring opportunities with two outstanding long range goals and gave it their best but in the end the boys from Dully went home content with a 3-2 win and confirmation that their season is heading in the right direction.
