The Under 13s game was a seesawing game right from the outset. APIA dominated for the first 5 minutes and were able to fashion two strikes at the Dully goal, only to be denied by good keeping. Dully then started to get into the game, a great shot striking the APIA goalpost and seemed to have gone in before spinning back out - was it over line? ref said "no". Dully continued to play well and some wonderful passing led to the creation several more chances, but still no goals. Then the turning point, one of our defenders was hurt and helped from the field, unsettling the back line and APIA took advantage opening the scoring. The momentum had swung to APIA, and Dully were defending hard, a wonderful long range strike made it 2 – 0 at half time.

Dully made some positional changes at half time, and were immediately back on the ascendancy. Their hard work was rewarded with a beautiful goal, shot from the edge of the box and sailing unchallenged into the top corner of the net. Game on! Dully were able to get several more shots away, the APIA keeper making some good saves. The game then opened up as both teams went for the win, APIA broke away only to strike over the bar, and Dully were denied again after a well worked corner. APIA were turning the screws and their shot count was mounting and despite some fantastic defending and saves, they were rewarded with a 3rd goal from a very strong strike. In the final 5 minutes, APIA passed the ball around well, but were unable to get through a tiring Dully.

So the game ended 3 - 1 to APIA, but Dully were very happy with the way they played.
