Fabulous Fabio - Dully signs Shooting Star

fabio ferreira

Dulwich Hill F.C. has signed Portuguese striker Fabio Ferreira for the 2012 season. Fabio, 22 years old, brings to Dully the experience of playing for his country, representing Portugal at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 levels. He played with Sporting Lisbon, where Christiano Ronaldo and Nani also played, and in 2005 Chelsea snatched him, where he played in their academy and reserves teams. Scoring a bag of goals, Fabio’s speed and skill as a winger is what he is most renowned for – a perfect addition to our squad.

Fabio continues a long history of Dulwich Hill, bringing exciting players to Australia, not just to bolster the quality of the team, but so that we can all learn from their experience and enjoy watching them play. Fabio has already taken the field for Dully in pre-season trail games, and all at the club are very excited by what they have seen so far.

Fabio hopes to join the A-League, and there is interest from Sydney F.C., Central Coast and Brisbane Roar, so there will be more than the usual spectators at the games. This is an opportunity for all our players to show what they have to a wider audience.

Interest in Fabio has made it to the sports pages of "The Australian" newspaper.
